This beautiful Oakwood Pyracantha Espalier was supposed to be a quick prune but a second look showed us that it was going to be more work than we had thought. Turned out whomever originally built out the wiring system for the espalier had wrapped the wire around the plant, meaning as it grew the plan started growing around the plant and choking out the arms of the plant. This meant we needed to untie each wire, untangle the plant to pull it out, after that we put it the wire back in behind the plant, retrained it to the wire correctly added fertilizer and will continue to correctly prune and train it going forward.
