This large lace-leaf Japanese maple was located in Jamestown, RI and was pruned for a friend’s client. The specimen was 7 feet tall and 10 feet wide….A true beast!!! “Clouds” or “wings” were left intact to show depth and carry the eye into the heart of the tree. Internal branch structure is 65% of the beauty of these trees! Main branches and secondary laterals were thinned, dead wood and crossing branches removed, crown opened, and separated from surrounding plantings. Total Pruning time: 7 Hours
